Welcome to my online journal. I began backpacking and mountaineering in 2016, and in the summer of 2022 I hiked the Pacific Crest Trail. This summer – 2025 – I will be hiking part of the Continental Divide Trail.

My favorite part of wilderness camping is seeing the surrounding peaks stained orange and pink as the sun starts to rise. Alpenglow is as beautiful as it is fleeting, and I often find myself running to reach my viewpoint so that I don’t miss it.

When I’m not summiting mountains or sleeping beneath the stars, you can usually find me reading, attempting to paint, or fermenting fruit wines.
