Welcome to my online journal. I began backpacking and mountaineering in 2016, and in the summer of 2022 I hiked the Pacific Crest Trail. This summer – 2024 – I will attempt to finish the sections of trail that I missed due to wildfires.

My favorite part of wilderness camping is seeing the surrounding peaks stained orange and pink as the sun starts to rise. Alpenglow is as beautiful as it is fleeting, and I often find myself running to reach my viewpoint so that I don’t miss it.

When I’m not summiting mountains or sleeping beneath the stars, you can usually find me reading, attempting to paint, or swing dancing.
